Jason Goodwin began his nursing career as a Navy Nurse Corps Officer in 2002, deploying in 2003 with the U.S. Marines during Operation Iraqi Freedom, performing primary surgical trauma care on the frontlines of battle. His service finished at the rank of Lieutenant, being awarded the Presidential Unit Citation and 3 Naval Achievement Medals.

Serving in numerous perioperative leadership roles, Jason worked with Kaiser Permanente, UC Davis Medical Center, Vizient, and most recently at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, as the Assistant Administrator of Procedural Services. Jason has numerous years of experience with regulatory issues, quality and safety, evidence-based care, and nursing administration. 

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Southern California as well as a master’s degree in public health and a Master of Science in nursing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Melanie Scott began her nursing career as an Operating Room Nurse in 1995 where she was trained to both scrub and circulate all types of surgical specialties on the frontlines of a large Academic Institution and Level I Trauma Center in Dallas, Texas. Serving in numerous perioperative leadership roles, Ms. Scott became Director of Surgical Services in 2005. 

In 2010, Ms. Scott began her career as a Subject Matter Expert for Perioperative Services and Consultant specializing in Performance and Process Improvement, Quality and Safety, Compliance, Efficiency, Mentoring, and Interim Leadership including her current role as Interim Director of Surgical Services at OU Health in Oklahoma City, OK. Having had boots on the ground in Surgical Services at more than 42 facilities ranging from small critical access hospitals to large Academic Institutions, Ms. Scott has had numerous years of experience with regulatory issues at every level. In addition, Ms. Scott has worked with Consulting firms as a Subject Matter Expert. Ms. Scott has reviewed and opined on malpractice lawsuits. 

Ms. Scott holds a Master of Science in Nursing with specialization in Leadership and Management and lives near her adult Son, Daughter and Son-in-Law and 2 Grandsons Archer 6, and Beau 1.

Romagnia’s journey in nursing began in 2001, where she dedicated herself to the care of patients with diverse medical needs at a bustling community hospital in Northern New Jersey. Seeking growth and new challenges, she transitioned to become an Operating Room Nurse in South New Jersey.

Driven by a passion for excellence, Mrs. Hill then embarked on a remarkable tenure at the prestigious level 1 trauma center in Pennsylvania. In this dynamic environment, she assumed various pivotal roles including Operating Room Nurse, Resource Team Nurse, Epic Optime Credentialed Educator, Preceptor, and Charge Nurse.

Beyond her daily responsibilities, Mrs. Hill's commitment to nursing excellence extended to a national level. In 2016, Mrs. Hill has contributed her expertise to the Competency Credentialing Institute (CCI), helping write CNOR exams. She also contributed to publication in ethical and legal dimensions of our evolving healthcare landscape. In February 2024, Mrs. Hill was honored with the opportunity from AORN/CineMed to be a subject matter expert, in demonstrating best practices in their standardized films.

Yet, Mrs. Hill's vision transcends the confines of the Operating Room. Recognizing the financial challenges faced by her fellow nurses, she is pioneering a program to align nurses’ beliefs and values with their financial goals, by educating nurses on how to start saving early to secure their financial future.

Mrs. Hill holds an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics. Beyond her professional endeavors, Mrs. Hill finds solace and strength in her faith and family. Married to her husband for 27 years, she is the proud mother of three sons.

Hannah Shufeldt began her nursing career as a staff nurse on a high-risk cardiology unit in 2018. She transitioned shortly after into the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR), where she found her passion for perioperative nursing as a circulating and scrub nurse. She serves on numerous professional associations, is the current AORN local chapter president and served as chair on AORN Guideline Advisory Board. She has presented at national and local conferences as well as presented award-winning posters and authored publications. Topics include collaborative relationships between mentor and student, perioperative normothermia, OR attire, sharp injuries, surgical counts, specimen handling, effective handoff, and error prevention in the operating room. She conducted qualitative research of newly qualified RNFAs who transitioned to the OR and received a research grant to fund her research. She was the recipient of the Pennsylvania Nightingale Award for Education in 2014. 

Dr. Lynch has numerous years of experience with regulatory issues, quality and safety, evidence-based care, and nursing administration. Dr. Lynch works as a Legal Nurse Consultant for 14 years as an independent contractor.
